ANOTHER EKITI SOCIO-POLITICAL GROUP, "EKAMETA ONE VOICE" RALLIES SUPPORT FOR FRONTLINE REPS HOPEFUL, DELE PHILIPS

An Ekiti State-based Socio-Political Group, “Ekameta One Voice” has declared its unflinching loyalty and support for the frontline aspirant for Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 2 seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Dele Philips.

According to a statement issued and signed by the group’s publicity secretary, Mr. Babajide Adelusi after the meeting of the group in Ado-Ekiti the state capital, the group said the Aramoko-Ekiti-born international business mogul has the capacity to deliver genuine dividends of democracy to the people.

Adelusi said the group had conducted a survey on all the aspirants and the members concluded that Mr. Dele Philips does not only stand out but has gained the confidence of the people, especially the youths and party leaders.

In his words, “many aspire to lead even when they don’t have what it takes but Dele Philips has what it takes to provide robust and transparent representation. That’s why we as a socio-political group is supporting his aspiration because we are confident that he will carry the day, both at the primary election as well as the general elections”.

“It is high time we injected personalties with global exposure to key into our struggle to ensure that the people are not abandoned again after elections, considering the numerous Interventionist programmes he had put in place at various levels through the Dele Phillips Foundation”, the publicity secretary stressed.

The group therefore appealed to delegates from Ekiti West, Efon and Ijero local government areas to cast their votes for Dele Philips at the primary election slated for Friday.

“The Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 2 requires a visionary leader who understands the plight of the common man and the international business mogul has been putting smiles on the faces of the people. We are confident that Dele Phillips will justify the confidence reposed in him if he given the chance to represent the constituency at the Green Chambers”, Adelusi emphasized.

Reacting to this development in a telephone chat with Naijaparrots reporter, Demola Kunlere, the leading contestant, Mr. Dele Philips assured that he would never take the trust the people have in him for granted.

He emphasized that structures are already in place to ensure that the delegates are treated as the real shareholders of the party by ensuring that they are involved in the various processes of representing the people.
