We have come of age where the narratives must be changed. The journey to move our country out of the woods has just begun, and it will not only take strong people to achieve that, it will take stronger will, greater vision, rigorous commitment and above all, competent leadership.
This is where we must shun all form of sentiments, religious bigotry, ethnicity and regional polarisation and embrace capability, integrity, reliability and track record of positive impact in our society.
The time is here, time for our victory. A time when the history of our great Nation will be re-written, where we will never be classified by the region we came from, or the religion we practice. This is a time for real, practical approach to governance, a selfless commitment to leadership.
Above is the propeller that informed the emergence of His Excellency Senator Kashim Shettima’s nomination as the Vice Presidential Candidate of our great party the APC. Record of his landmarks, giant strides and track records as a Banker of repute, two term Governor in Borno State, and Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We can not but rejoice, that our victory is here!.
The victory is a war won fair and square over tyranny, bigotry and sentiments, which has bedeviled our beloved country for so long, and limit the development that we have witnessed so far. We are glad today, that with Senator Kashim, we have moved a step closer to our dream land.
