
“For us as a Nation and in Ondo State, we want to play at global front, and it is what we do that will help us to achieve this” .
These are the words of Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa at the maiden meeting of Ondo State Steering Committee on Human Capital Development ( HCD ), held in his Office on Tuesday.
It would be recalled that, Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN constituted both the Steering Committee and Technical Committee on Human Capital Development and the Committees were inuagurated on Tuesday June 21, 2022 by Mr Governor.
Aiyedatiwa, Who is the Chairman of the 10-man State Committee on HCD called on the need to keep pace with the spate of technological development by developing human capacities required for the challenges of modern world.



“A lot of works is in our hands, and we’ve started well, the objective of our committee is to have a healthy, dedicated and productive citizens” .
“We know that Human Capital Development is critical to poverty alleviation and citizens participation and economic growth and development in any nation” .
“So, any nation where the human capital is not so developed, they will be lagging behind” , he said.
The Deputy Governor commended the rich resume of committee members and also for taken up so early in their assignment by putting the work in place.
“The objective of our committee is set, and I thank God that, the critical government functionaries are part of this whole programme, so a lot of works are in our hands” , declared Aiyedatiwa.
The 10-man State Steering committee on HCD are,
I – Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa — Chairman.
II- Commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning – Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan, Vice Chairman.
III- Chief of Staff to Governor, Chief ‘Gbenga Ale- member.
IV – Head of Service, Pastor ‘Niran Adeyemo – member.
V – Commissioner of Health, Dr Banji Ajaka – member.
VI – Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Pastor Femi Agagu – member.
VII – Commissioner of Youths and Sports, ‘Dele Ologun – member.
VIII – Commissioner of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Deaconess ‘Lola Fagbemi – member.
XI – Special Adviser on Entrepreneurship, Dr Francis Summy Smart – member.
X – Permanent Secretary, MEP&B, Mr Bunmi Alade – Secretary.
