AKURE MONARCH SHUTS SELECTED MARKETS FOR ‘AMOLE’ FESTIVAL

The Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi says selected markets in the state capital will be closed on Wednesday to celebrate the town’s annual Amole Festival.
A statement by the monarch’s chief press Secretary, Michael Adeyeye, listed the affected markets to include Oja Oba – Erekesan main Market, Odopetu, Umesi and Ijemikin.
The statement said There shall be no closure of other Markets within Akure and its environs while shops and stalls will be equally opened for business.
It also said the festival will not in any way restrict both human and vehicular movement.
