The Inter-Party Advisory Council in Ekiti State has joined the people of the state in mourning the exit of the speaker of House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Funminiyi Afuye.
According to a statement signed by the Chairman of the Council, Comrade Owoola Daramola, “the news came as a shock to us. It is sudden, it is untimely and it is sad”.
“May the Lord comfort his family, friends; members of the House of Assembly, Ikere-Ekiti as a whole as well as the entire state”, Daramola said.
“I also commiserate with the entire members of All Progressives Congress (APC) which he served meritoriously and passionately”, the IPAC Chairman stated further.
“I also prayed that the good Lord will give the new Governor of our dear State, His Excellency, Biodun Oyebanji the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss”, Daramola added.
