AAUA IPTP DIRECTOR, PROF BAYO FASUWON ASSURES OF SUSTAINING GIANT STRIDES RECORDED BY SCHOOL MANAGEMENT
***As 2022/2023 Public Administration Master’s Degree Students write final examination
The Director of Institute of Part-time Programme (IPTP) in Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba- Akoko, Professor Bayo Fasuwon has re-emphasized the determination of stakeholders towards improving and sustaining the giant strides being recorded by the management of the institution.
Professor Fasuwon was speaking at a get-together organised by 2022/2023 Set of Master’s Degree programme in the Department of Public Administration to mark the end of their course.
The event held in Akungba-Akoko had in attendance a large number of the students while their lecturers graced the occasion.
The lecturers included Dr. Wole Oluwasuji, Dr. H. Iwu, and Dr. Celestine Jumbo who is the Coordinator of the programme.
The Head of Department, Barrister (Dr) Dare Arowolo sent apologies for being unavoidably absent.
While addressing the gathering, the Director of the Institute of Part-time Programme, Professor Fasuwon said all structures and processes had been put in place to improve and keep justifying the recognition as the best State-owned University in the country.
Fasuwon commended the level of cooperation received from his colleagues and associates.
The Director acknowledged the total commitment of the school authority led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Olugbenga Ige for creating enabling and conducive environment to achieve qualitative education in the tertiary institution.
Also speaking, an associate Professor, Dr. Wole Oluwasuji described the set as a unique one, stating their commitment to ensuring that they did not just pass through the school but also ensured that the school passed through them.
In the same vein, Dr. H. Iwu encouraged the out-going students not to relent on their efforts as there are ongoing plans to facilitate a process through which they can start their PhD programme with the Master’s Degree in Public Administration.
In his submission, the Coordinator of the programme, Dr. Celestine Jumbo called for continuous collaboration among members of the set, noting that there is a long way to go in life.
Dr. Jumbo also emphasized that all stakeholders in Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko are working towards the same goal with a view to supporting the Vice Chancellor to succeed in office.
In appreciating the roles played by the lecturers and the school at large, some students who include the Class Governor, Pastor Babatunde Owa, Honourable Hamidu Takuro, Mr. Steve Omoeko, Mr. Eniola Olatujoye and Engr. Busuyi Olowolayemo acknowledged the leadership roles of the lecturers who they said imparted positively in their lives.
They also harped on the need to continue to be united many could be of influence in the nearest future.
