ONDO GUBER: APOI ROYAL FATHERS RECEIVE AGBOOLA AJAYI’S RETURN CERTIFICATE, ENDORSE AMBITION
Traditional rulers in Apoi Land, the Southern part of Ondo State have promised their support for the gubernatorial ambition of His Excellency, Agboola Ajayi, the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate in the scheduled November 2024,
election.
The Assembly of the traditional rulers made the promise on Sunday while receiving Ajayi, an Apoi son, after presenting to them, the Certificate of Return given to him by his party, following his victory at the recently held primary election.
The traditional rulers converged on the palace of Kalasue of Apoi land where they all prayed and gave their blessings to PDP flag bearer.
They
commended him for the wisdom to return home to show them the certificate and also to seek their support in their different domains in his bid to win the scheduled election.
Wishing Ajayi success, the traditional rulers expressed their joy in his success in the electioneering process so far and promised to rally round him to get victory at the poll, even as they advised him not to handle with levity, any aspect of the electioneering process.
They advised him to handle all issues relating to the election with the seriousness it deserves as they promised to seek support for him in all their domains in Apoi land.
Speaking earlier, the PDP flag bearer thanked the royal fathers for accepting him and promised to adhere strictly to all advise given to him.
He said he took the step he took by presenting his Certificate of Return to them because charity begins from home.
“In the word of you elders, charity should begin from home. That is why I have come home to present this certificate to you, seek your unflinching surport , blessings and advice, before embarking on this great journey to win the coming election that will ultimately make me, your son, the Governor of Ondo State”
He thanked them for identifying with his ambition.
He promised to always make them proud and fly the banner of Apoi Land high at all times.
The traditional rulers present at the event are all from the Apoi end of Ese Odo Local Government area where the PDP candidate hails from.
They include the Kalasue of Apoi land and paramount ruler of Apoi kingdom, Oba (Prof ) Sunday Amuseghan, The Odogun of Igbekebo, Oba Dele Dabo and the Gbaluwe of Igbotu, Oba Ajayi among others.
