WEST AFRICAN COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS ACCREDITATION TEAM VISITS UNIMED TEACHING HOSPITAL

UNIMED Teaching Hospital Ondo, Acting CMD, Dr. Micheal Gbala has received the West African College of Physician (WAFCP) team for the re-acceditation of Department of Family Medicine of UNIMED Teaching Hospital.
Dr Gbala expressed confidence in the accreditation team of West African College of Physicians in upholding standard of care.
He said the Unimed Teaching Hospital has been keeping faith with her mandate of training of Health workers at different levels of specialization and have continued to provide the platform to widen the scope of Medical and health workers in the country while providing clinical services and opportunities for cutting edge researches.
According to him, the re-accreditation team would continue with the exercise at both State Specialist Hospital Akure and State Specialist Hospital Ondo.
He told the team that the teaching hospital is always willing to adjust to the directives, suggestions and observations of regulatory bodies so far it is for quality healthcare service delivery and education.
Earlier, the leader of the re-accreditation team Dr. Louis Odeigah appreciated the warmth reception they recieved from the Teaching Hospital.
He said thorough work would be conducted during the exercise and quality advice would be given at the end of the assessment exercise.
