OYEBANJI’S AIDE, EBENEZER ADEBUSUYI EMBARKS ON ENGAGEMENT WITH LG POLITICAL HEADS AS TEAM VISITS EKAMETA LCDA
***The event aimed at fostering robust relationship among key players at the grassroots ended with a plea that governor runs another term
The Senior Special Assistant to Ekiti State Governor on Internal Relations, Chief Ebenezer Adebusuyi has embarked on engagements with leaders at the local government level with a view to fostering relationships among key players.
The exercise which has started with Ekameta local council development authority with headquarters at Erijiyan-Ekiti where Governor Oyebanji’s aide interacted with a cross-section of the leaders.
The event attracted the Chairman , Vice Chairman, Advisers, Supervisors as well as Councillors while some from the neighbouring Ekiti West local government were in attendance in support of the initiative.
Addressing the gathering, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Oyebanji on Internal Relations, Chief Ebenezer Adebusuyi said the visit is aimed at ensuring that all key players at the grassroots level are on the same page in ensuring that the confidence reposed in the governor and his team is justified.
In his words, “my visit to this area today is to emphasise the fact that Mr. Governor prioritises the leaders in the local government areas as well as the LCDAs as you people play significant roles in ensuring that efforts of his administration are successful”.
“Not only about ensuring that projects being carried out in the nooks and crannies are properly executed but also to facilitate robust and productive relationship among all stakeholders.”
Adebusuyi urged them to continue to be on the same page as no meaningful development could be achieved in a rancorous environment as Governor Oyebanji has put in place structures to ensure even distribution of resources across the state.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Chairman of Ekameta local council development authority, Dr. Leye Adeniji said the visit was not only timely but also a good step that would continue to cement the good relationship among the political leaders.
In his comments, the Vice Chairman of Ekameta local council development authority, Hon.Jeje Ekololu commended the governor’s aide for visiting the area, saying the interactive session would play a great role in building on the good relationship existing among them.
Honourable Ekololu who said the people of Erijiyan, Ikogosi, Ipole-Iloro and other towns and villages have been feeling the impact of the Oyebanji administration noted that the council has also continued to build on the foundation built by the SSA while he served as both Vice Chairman and acting Chairman.
According to him, the administration led by the Chairman, Dr. Leye Adeniji has always carried everyone along while projects are being carried out to compliment the efforts of the governor in ensuring even distribution of dividends of democracy to the people.
Similarly, the Secretary of the council, Hon. Segun Olatunbosun said apart from following the footsteps of the SSA, the council has continued with the construction of the new Secretariat embarked upon by Chief Ebenezer Adebusuyi while governor Oyebanji has also provided funds for the construction.
Speaking on behalf of Advisers and Supervisors, Wole Alade who is the Supervisor for health expressed gratitude to Governor Oyebanji for prioritising the welfare of the people at the grassroots.
The entire gathering ended up with one voice that the local government engagement programme be carried out in other local government areas as well as the council development authorities across the state.
It also made the clarion call that they must all work together to ensure that governor Oyebanji runs another term in office to enable him continue to forge ahead in his quest to move Ekiti to greater heights.
