
FORMER EKITI PDP ASSEMBLY CANDIDATE, OPEYEMI OGUNDIPE URGES UNITY AMONG YOUTHS TOWARDS RESTORING PARTY’S GLORY
A staunch member of the People’s Democratic Party in Ekiti State, Prince Opeyemi Ogundipe has emphasized the place of unity among the youths in the party to enable them take their pride of place and restore the lost glory of the once largest party in Africa.
The two-time house of assembly candidate of the party in Ado constitute 2 in Ado-Ekiti local government area who was speaking with newsmen at OFT House, Ajilosun in the state capital expressed concern at situations where the youths either individually or in groups work at cross purposes.
The political leader popularly known as ‘Manchester’ urged the youths to see themselves as the real future leaders and set the pace for the nearest future where they too could be capable of dictating the pace politically.
In his words, “it is high time our youths came together to create a new orientation that will guarantee their future and also play significant roles in restoring the glory of our party*.
“I always feel bothered when this person or group says they have a leader they click to and thereby not forming a formidable group. Whatever or whoever is anyone’s leader or interest, we have to be aware that the party is bigger than any individual.”
The party leader urged both the youths and the leaders to come together in the interest of the party, more so that another round of election would soon approach as “we are poised to occupy the governor’s office with the support of the people of our dear state and the Most High”.
