APC LEADER, AKINYINKA AKINNOLA, GROUP, COMMENCE DOOR-TO-DOOR CAMPAIGN FOR AIYEDATIWA
On Tuesday 5th November, 2023, the campaign for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa received boost in all the nooks and crannies of Ondo state as an All Progressives Congress’s (APC) starward, Chief Akinyinka Akinnola ( Loten of Ondo Kingdom) commenced Door-to -door campaign in Ondo city.
in continuation of the door to door mobilization of party faithful and residents in Ondo Kingdom visited ward lll, Ondo West Local Government Area, where he addressed residents and supporters.
He addressed the crowd who gathered earlier on Tuesday and encouraged them to come out enmasse on election day. In his usual way of supporting the party, Akinyinka Akinnolan empowered women , the youth and other interst groups with resources to encourage their small and medium scale businesses.
Earlier, in a show of support for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s re-election bid, the Special Interest Committee on Sports held a large in support of the governor. The rally aimed to rally the sports community behind the governor’s campaign ahead of the upcoming November 16 election.
The Committee’s mandate is to harness its members’ diverse backgrounds and experiences in sports to mobilize the sports community across the state in support of Governor Aiyedatiwa.
The event was led by the Committee’s secretary, Mr. Henry Babatunde, former General Manager of the Sports Council, representing Chairman Mr. Adebayo Abayomi. He led sports enthusiasts in a march of solidarity for the governor’s re-election.
The group was received at the entrance of the Governor’s Office by Mr. Smart Omodunbi, Special Assistant on Political Matters, who welcomed them on behalf of the governor.
The Committee expressed its gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa for his commitment to sports development in the state. They highlighted his recent efforts, including the awarding of a contract for upgrading Akure Township Stadium, with funding already released and work underway.
