
55TH MEMORIAL ANNIVERSARY: FAMILY REMEMBERS EKITI BUSINESS MAN, JAMES ADU FATOBA
The children and entire family of prominent Cocoa Merchant and business man in the 50s and 60s in Ado-Ekiti the Ekiti State capital are remembering their Patriarch after 55 years of call to glory.
Late Pa James Adu Fatoba who resided at Ereguru Street in the heart of the ancient town was a prominent business man whose passion for human and societal development remains a reference point.
After 55 years of the exit of an icon, the children are appreciating God for giving them the privilege to continue from where their father stopped.
In a statement made public by one of the children, Tope Adu, he described their father as a yardstick to measure concern for philanthropy and care for the less privileged.
In his words, “today marks the 55th remembrance anniversary of the death of our father, Baba James Adu Fatoba who departed this sinful world on the 21st of January 1970”.
“Although It has been a long time since you suddenly left us, but we shall continue to remember you as a hard working and loving father”.
“Your house was a strategic center of gravity that pulled all family members together as a unifying factor, ‘sugbon gbogbo e ye Olorun oba”.

Omo adara loye dara lori esin,
Omo iyun baba ileke, ileke gbori ate wole. A bu ninu igan soro. A la loju osoru’. Keep resting peacefully in the bossom of the Lord”.
Other children who include Chief Ilesanmi Fatoba, Olajide Adu Fatoba, Aderemi Adu Fatoba and Alake Daramola as well as Babatunde Adu said they will continue to miss their father who they said meant everything to them.
