ILE-OLUJI-OKEIGBO LG GETS FIRST FEMALE LEADER OF THE HOUSE, IYABO ADEFULIRE AYANTUNDE
The legislative arm of Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo local government area has got the first female leader of the house, Hon. Iyabo Adefulire Ayantunde.
Hee emergence came into being at the council secretariat in Ile-Oluji and was witnessed by party leaders in the council area.
Other principal officers of the house are Deputy Leader, Hon. Adesiyan Olukunle kolawole;
Majority Leader, Hon. Taiwo Ajibade Tope and Hon Opeke Rufus as Chief whip as well as Agboola Samson Abiodun as Secretary.
Addressing the house, the newly elected leader, Hon. Iyabo Adefulire Ayantunde promised to carry along all relevant stakeholders while discharging her duties.
The leader assured that she would work with the executive arm to ensure that they justify the confidence reposed in her.
While noting that her emergence as the first female leader of the house is a sign that new good things would begin to happen in the area, Hon. Adefulire Ayantunde called for total support from both political and community leaders in the area.
The event had in attendance political leaders who include party Chairman, Hon. Rufus Adefulire, the local government Chairman, Hon. Adeboye Adebare and former council boss, Hon. Kole Gangan Akinbolarin.
