The Special Adviser to Governor Aiyedatiwa on Women Affairs, Dr. Seun Osamaye has underscored the critical need for gender equality and women empowerment.
At a programme “Circuit”, organised by the OSRC/Orange FM chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Osamaye emphasized that for the Governor to achieve the goals requires a collective commitment from all stakeholders.
At the event which focused on pivotal issues driving women empowerment, Osamaye called for immediate action from political leaders to address the pressing challenges before they escalate further.
During her presentation titled “Championing Change: The Role of Women in Shaping Ondo State’s Future,” Dr. Osamaye reeled off achievements of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and outlined the Governor’s vision for gender equality.
The Special Adviser emphasised the importance of equal rights for women and urged society to actively participate in advancing women’s causes.
The chairman of OSRC/Orange FM Chapel of the NUJ, Odunayo Sawyerr reinforced the need to uplift and empower women within the society.
Director General of the Ondo State Radiovision Corporation, Mr. Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson, acknowledged the vital role women play in societal development.
The interactive session provided NUJ members the opportunity to engage Dr. Osamaye on various state government programmes and policies.
