NASRDA SET TO LAUNCH SPACE-THEMED MOVIE SERIES
In a bid to bridge the gap between Science, society, and entertainment, the Director General, National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Dr. Matthew Adepoju, has announced plans for a Space-themed movie series set to premiere on Netflix to simplify complex Scientific concepts for everyday Nigerians.
He made this statement while receiving Nollywood icon, Mr Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), on a familiarization visit to the Agency’s Headquarters in Abuja.
Dr. Adepoju emphasized the crucial role of the entertainment sector in strategic communication, saying it is significant in driving national development and enhancing global recognition.
While highlighting the power of storytelling in making science accessible, Dr. Adepoju urged all members and pertinent stakeholders to contribute towards positioning NASRDA for global relevance.
He commended the legendary Nollywood Icon for his contributions to the creative industry, stressing that every profession has a role in advancing space exploration through strategic partnerships, which are essential for propelling the vision of the Space Agency.
In his remarks, Nollywood Icon, Mr Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), expressed gratitude for the warm reception accorded him, describing the visit as homecoming.
He commended the Director General’s leadership style, stressing that true leadership inspires and motivates people for growth.
According to a statement signed by Grace Jacobs of the Media and Corporate Communications, the Nollywood Legend assured the Agency of his full support in amplifying NASRDA’s groundbreaking achievements through the instrumentality of storytelling.
Also speaking, a Public Relations Expert and Pioneer Managing Editor of Ovasion Magazine Akinrogun Alaba Yusuf urged the entire Staff of NASRDA to look beyond the present and create a future that leaves a lasting impact on both the Agency and the society.
He harped on the necessity of building an environment that future generations will recognize and appreciate for its significant contributions to Progress and national development.
Mr Richard Mofe-Damijo was later conducted round on tour of the Space Agency by the Director General.
On his impression after the facilities tour, the Nollywood Icon described the atmosphere as quite inspiring, saying the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) is indeed a pride to our great country and entire Nigerians.
