THE NIGERIAN PROJECT LEADERSHIP ORDERS REVIEW OF APPOINTMENTS OF STATE COORDINATORS, NWC MEMBERS
The leadership of The Nigerian Project has ordered the review of the various appointments of State Coordinators as well as the National Working Committee.
These were part of the decisions taken at the Strategic Committee meeting of the group on Sunday.
In his welcome address, the National Convener, Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba said the meeting is aimed at defining the future of the group.
“Therefore, this meeting has a singular agenda: to determine the way forward by assessing individual commitment, capacity, and performance. It is for this reason that the inauguration of the NWC and other activities have been temporarily put on hold. Our success hinges on those who are genuinely committed in the cause and truly dedicated to our vision”.
“This is neither a National Working Committee (NWC) meeting nor a National Executive Council (NEC) gathering. It is a unique strategy session that may define our future”.
He said all hands must be on the deck to mobilise and preach the gospel of the Project to achieve a New Nigeria.
Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba also used the opportunity to appreciate the contributions of members at historic book launch of the former Military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.
“I extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who honoured the recent IBB book launch with their presence and sacrifices. Your commitment to our shared vision is deeply appreciated”.
“However, I must express concern over the non-committal attitude of some members”.
“TNP is a movement of immense opportunity, anchored on IBB’s legacy, and driven by dedication and action. We cannot afford the complacency that has been observed”.
The meeting appointed the Deputy National Coordinator, North, Alhaji Abubakar Adamu and his counterpart in the South, Dr. Peter Osadebey to work with relevant members of the Strategic Committee to determine the capabilities of the appointees to move the Project to an enviable level.
