ELIZADE UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT EXPRESSES SHOCK OVER PROFESSOR TOSAN ERHABOR DEMISE
The Management, staff, and students of Elizade University have expressed shock and profound sadness over the passing of Professor Tosan Erhabor, the esteemed Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
According to the Registrar of the University, Omololu Adegbenro, Professor Erhabor was not only a towering figure in the field of Medical Laboratory Science but also a great ally and friend of Elizade University.
His recent visit to our campus in February 2025, during which he inducted the pioneer set of Medical Laboratory Science graduates of the University, remains a significant and cherished moment in our institutional history.
According to the Head of Media and Public Relations of the University, Williams Olufunmi, Adegbenro noted that his passion for excellence, professionalism, and his unwavering commitment to the advancement of the profession were clearly evident during that visit, noting that his passing is not only a colossal loss to the MLSCN and the Medical Laboratory Science community in Nigeria but also to the health sector within and outside Nigeria, adding “We have indeed lost a colossus, a mentor to many, and a partner in the pursuit of quality healthcare education.”
“On behalf of the Founder, Governing Council, Management, staff, and students of Elizade University, we extend our deepest condolences to the Council, the bereaved family, and the entire Medical Laboratory Science community, while also praying for the repose of his soul.” He added
