
ADEBISI JIMBOLA EMERGES OAU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION AKURE BRANCH CHAIRMAN
The Akure Branch of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife Alumni Association has elected new executive members to run the affairs of the group for the next two years.
The election led to the emergence of Adebisi Jimbola as Chairman while
Oluwatayo Moses Adu. became the Vice Chairman.
The position of Secretary went to Fadahunsi Ayodeji Omoyele as Donald Queen Philomina Financial Secretary/Treasurer.
The new officers were sworn in with the oath administration by Barr Segun Aboyewa, Esq
In his maiden speech, the newly elected Chairman, Mr Adebisi Jimbola appreciated the Global Vice President, South West, Barr. Leye Bunmi Falodu for his support and physical presence as well as the Ondo Branch Chairman Prof Babajide for his solidarity.
He expressed appreciation to the Immediate past Chairman, Olanike Busari for steps taken to ensure that Great Ife Akure Branch is up and doing and well positioned in the Global body.
Jimbola thanked members for their steadfastness in building a virile association, assuring that Akure Branch is set to break new grounds under his leadership.
Similarly, the OAU Global Vice President, South West, Barr. Leye Bunmi Falodu charged the new executive members to continue to uplift the existing peace, progress and unity among members.
Speaking on the occasion , Emeritus Chairman, Dr Clement Adepiti commended the immediate past Executive for a job well done and urged the new executive members to keep the flag flying.
