OLUMUYIWA ADU REJOICES WITH IFEDAYO ABEGUNDE, WIFE ON CHIEFTAINCY TITLES
An Ondo Central Senatorial Hopeful, Dr Barr. Olumuyiwa Adu aka Cubana has expressed his love, respect and felicitations to a political Icon, Chief (Hon.) Ifedayo Sunday Abegunde who is fondly called “Abena” on his coronation as Asiwaju Akure.
Chief Abegunde is the Executive Director, Corporate Services, Niger Delta Development Commission, a former Secretary to Ondo State Government and two- term House of Representatives’ member.
In his personal congratulatory message made available to the Press through his Media Council, Dr Adu described the Chief Abegunde as a worthy ambassador and an illustrious son of Akure Kingdom who has gained admirable reputations at national, state and community levels.
In his statement, Dr Adu said, “Today, we are celebrating a historical attainment of a great Leader who is my brother and mentor. The Chieftaincy title bestowed on him is a well- deserved honour and it is in recognition of his contributions towards community and human development.
” I appreciate Deji of Akure Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba ( Dr) Ogunlade Aladelusi Aladetoyibo, CFR, Odundun II for his thoughtfulness and exemplary rulership that is tailored towards unity, peace, cultural promotion and economic growth”.
Dr Adu further extolled Chief Abegunde’s candour, bravery, generosity, forthrightness, perseverance and tenacity on his 70th birthday thanksgiving event which has collaborated with the coronation ceremony.
“As a strong pillar of support for the advancement of Democracy and capacity enrichment within Akure Kingdom and beyond, I pray and believe that under your Chaptainship,
Akure will continue to witness greater prosperity and befitting political positioning.
