SUPREME COURT VERDICT: OLUMUYIWA ADU “CUBANA” CONGRATULATES AIYEDATIWA
…Says Victory Will Smoothen Democracy and Progressive Governance
The leading Ondo Central Senatorial Aspirant, Barr. (Dr) Olumuyiwa Adu “Cubana” has extended his congratulations to the Executive Governor of Ondo state, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, his Deputy, Dr Olayide Owolabi Adelami, mni, and to the All Progressives Congress members statewide on the victorious verdict of the Apex Court over the electoral disputes that emanated from the November 16, 2024 gubernatorial election.
In his official press release, Dr Adu described the historic decision of the court as reaffirmation of the known facts.
It’s noteworthy that Dr Adu served as the Deputy Direction General (Ondo Central) in the said election that recorded an unprecedented success for any political party in the history of electoral contests in Ondo State.
“The 18.0 score sheet in that election is a testimony of people’s overwhelming endorsement of Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s candidacy”, Dr Adu confirmed.
Dr Adu also commended the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, His Excellency, Hon. Agboola Ajayi, for the withdrawal of his petition before the court.
“His action connotes altruism and maturity expected of a stateman like him. He deserves applause”. Dr Adu stressed.
Dr Adu as a renowned legal luminary had predicted before the judgement that the appeal of the petitioner could not survive the legal fireworks in any court of law, he, however, appreciated the involvement of all the stakeholders in the process that led to the settlement.
” This final judicial victory has put an end to the protracted litigations. Mr Governor can now concentrate fully on the implementation of his lofty ideas to transform the state into an enviable position.
“I urge all political actors and patriotic citizens to cooperate with the state governor in his resolve to deliver dividends of democracy to the masses” Dr Adu submitted.
