Ondo Young Professionals Meet Ondo APC Elders Movement for Tinubu Coordinator
In a strategic political engagement aimed at strengthening support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s anticipated re-election bid in 2027, a group known as the Ondo Young Professionals held a crucial meeting with the leadership of the Ondo APC Elders Movement for Tinubu in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The meeting, which brought together vibrant young professionals, underscored the growing momentum behind pro-Tinubu groups in the state.
The Ondo APC Elders Movement for Tinubu 2027, a key platform mobilizing grassroots and stakeholder support for the president’s Renewed Hope Agenda, has been actively expanding its influence across Ondo State’s 18 local government areas.
In a statement issued at the end of the meeting, the Coordinator of the Ondo APC Elders Movement for Tinubu, Otunba Agboola Kelly, described the Ondo Young Professionals as a dynamic body comprising accomplished individuals who are excelling in their respective fields.
He highlighted their emergence as a vital force in driving youth involvement in the party’s activities and the broader campaign for President Tinubu’s continuity in office.
The leader of the Ondo Young Professionals, Mr. Oluwaseyi Balogun, articulated the group’s motivation for aligning with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and supporting President Tinubu. He attributed this commitment to the outstanding performance of the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, whom he described as a standout performer in the Tinubu administration.
“Dr. Tunji-Ojo has been a top performer in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Balogun stated.
“He has shown that he is a symbol of excellence and perfection through his innovative reforms and dedication to service delivery.”
Dr. Tunji-Ojo, an Ondo State indigene, has earned widespread acclaim for transforming key sectors under the Ministry of Interior.
His achievements include clearing a massive backlog of over 200,000 passport applications within weeks of assuming office, revolutionizing the passport issuance process to achieve a two-week timeline with options for home and office delivery, automating visa applications, upgrading correctional facilities, and enhancing national security through digital innovations and collaborations.
These reforms have not only boosted public confidence in government services but have also positioned Dr. Tunji-Ojo as a key driver of Tinubu’s agenda in Ondo State, inspiring various support groups including elders, youth, and trade unions to rally behind the president’s 2027 bid.
The meeting reflects a broader effort to foster unity, mobilize young talent, and consolidate APC structures in Ondo State ahead of the elections.
Both groups reaffirmed their pledge to continue grassroots engagement, voter education, and mobilization to ensure strong support for President Tinubu, building on the momentum generated by high-performing leaders like Dr. Tunji-Ojo.
This collaboration between young professionals and party elders signals a generational bridge in Ondo APC politics, aimed at delivering substantial votes and sustaining the Renewed Hope Agenda for national progress.
