LABOUR SUSPENDS PICKERING OF AGF OFFICE FOLLOWING THIRD-PARTY DEDUCTIONS PAYMENT
The National leadership of joint National Public Service Negotiating Council JNPSNC Trade Union Side has suspended the picketing of the Office of the Accountant General of Federation scheduled to hold on Tuesday 3rd February, 2026.
The suspension was contained in a statement issued on Saturday and signed by both the National Chairman Comrade Benjamin Anto Uyanto mni and National Secretary, Comrade Olowoyo Gbenga and made available to newsmen in Abuja.
According to the statement, it was acknowledged that the office of the Accountant General of the Federation has started the payment of the third party deductions for the month of December, 2025.
As a matter of seriousness, the Accountant General of the Federation personally met with the National leadership of the JNPSNC Trade Union Side on Wednesday,28th January, 2026 and promised that the hiccups created by the migration from old to a new platform will be addressed Once and for all.
Furthermore, to show his commitment to the promise he made, both the office OAGF and leadership of JNPSNC Trade Union Side agreed to the setting up of Five-member standing committee that will ensure timely payment of all Third party deductions, henceforth, and nip in the bud any other brickwall that may want to emanate in the process of payment of subsequent third party deductions and will also address the problem of the outstanding three months Wage Award
Consequent upon the above development, the National leadership of the Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council hereby anounces the suspension of the scheduled picketing with immediate effect and will not hesitate to lift the suspension whenever the need arises.
