FIRST OTAKIKPO MIDSTREAM LIMITED JOINS GLOBAL COMMUNITY TO COMMEMORATE 2026 LPG DAY
The Management and Staff of First Otakikpo Midstream Limited has identified with all stakeholders as the World LPG Day is celebrated.
First Otakikpo Midstream Limited operates a 12-million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) modular LPG extraction plant located in Ikuru town in Andoni local government area of Rivers State.
First Otakikpo Midstream Limited is also the First LPG extraction plant in Nigeria.
As the global community commemorates the World LPG Day, the management has expressed the readiness to keep sustaining the records being set by the company.
In a statement made public on its social media handles, the Managing Director, Barrister Olusegun Ilori said the company was put in place to solve various challenges being faced in the sector by involving all relevant stakeholders in the task of contributing to the nation’s economy.
Barrister Ilori emphasized that the annual event highlights the role of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in delivering clean, accessible, reliable energy to communities, homes, and industries worldwide.
This, the Managing Director stated had been a major concern of the company and its leadership by ensuring that all strategic objectives and collaborations are prioritised.
Speaking on the theme for the 8th edition, “LPG: Pass It Forward”, Barrister Ilori said the initiative would encourage the global community to share stories about how LPG powers modern life, improves indoor air quality and helps bridge the global energy access gap.
Barrister Ilori assured that all structures and processes would continue to be put in place to encourage local participation and involvement of relevant stakeholders in creating an enabling environment for operations and consumption across the country.
The Managing Director added that the commemoration has created opportunity for the global community to celebrate an energy solution that powers millions of lives worldwide.
