AIYEDATIWA FELICITATES ‘DE EMERALDS’ FOR WINNING CHRISTIAN CHOIR COMPETITION
It was a sight to behold on Sunday at the Chapel of Grace, Government House, Akure as De Emeralds Choir offered a grand Thanksgiving for winning the coveted trophy of the third edition of the Asiwaju of Remo Christian Choir competition.
According to a statement made public by the leaders of the group, talented Dr. Olugbenga Obagbemi and Dr. Deji Adesuyi, it was a great achievement made possible by the Most High.
The duo said it was a result of rigorous practising and total commitment to what the team had been known for.
“In continuation of the triumphant victory of De Emeralds Choir, who brought honor to Ondo State by winning the coveted trophy of the third edition of the Asiwaju of Remo Christian Choir Competition, a grand Thanksgiving service was held at the Ondo State Government House Chapel to express heartfelt gratitude to God Almighty for this remarkable achievement.”
Receiving the award at the Sunday Service, the Governor of Ondo State and Presiding Pastor of the Government House Chapel, Honourable Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, warmly offered heartfelt prayers for the Government House Choir and De Emeralds Choir, saying they have always been a pride of the Sunshine State.
Aiyedatiwa assured that his administration would continue to provide enabling environment for the young men and women to keep the flag flying.
“This victory is not only a testament to the choirs’ dedication and talent but also a resounding triumph for the entire state of Ondo.”

De Emeralds Choir and the Government House Choir are noted for their outstanding performance at various outings both within and outside the state.
