An indigene of Ondo State and medical student from Uzhorod National University Ukraine, Miss Elizabeth False has joined UNIMED Teaching Hospital in Ondo State to continue her medical and clinical training due to unexpected interruption in her studies by recent developments in the European country.
The year five medical student expressed appreciation to Ondo State Government through UNIMED Teaching Hospital for the opportunities to continuing her medical training programme at no cost.
She said Uzhorod University in Ukraine is still offering her online classes while the practical clinical and medical exposure from UNIMEDTH will go a long way to optimize her studies in tropical medicine.
Elizabeth Falade who said language barrier was a big challenge at Ukraine to her but now she would communicate effectively with her teachers and patients in the hospital as this would assist her to learn better.
She advised all other returning students to avail themselves of the opportunity, saying it would be an added advantage for them.
The Chief Medical Director, Dr. Oluwole Ige said learning is a continuous process especially clinical and medical teachings which he stressed are better achieved through interpersonal communication between the teacher and the student.
Dr. Ige advised that the registration is still in progress for interested students, assuring that Ondo State government has put in place structures and processes that could make the institution compete favourably with its counterparts globally.
