The management of the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital, Ondo State has revealed new pay-plan for newly employed staff at the hospital.
Chief Medical Director, Dr Oluwole Ige revealed that medical staff who were recently employed have been receiving their salaries in the first month of assumption of duty.
According to a statement signed by the head of media and publicity of the hospital, Akinjide Oluwatope, the new policy was put in place to encourage medical personnel into the workforce in the State.
Dr. Ige said the development would complement the efforts of the state governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN who has shown a high degree of commitment to ensuring wholesome healthcare for the good people of Ondo State and Nigeria in general.
The Chief Medical Director emphasized that doctors, nurses and other healthcare staff have already begun to enjoy regular remuneration.
Dr. Ige therefore encouraged fresh graduates seeking internship in the hospital to apply as all suitably qualified candidates will be engaged, emphasizing areas of deficiency which include availability of medical doctors, nurses among others.
The Chief Medical Director reassured Post-NYSC healthcare workers and others of the new policy which has been effected this year, stressing that they would not be owed any arrears.
