…As Olowo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye leads special spiritual session at ‘Ogwata’ Square
In his quest to put a total stop to violent and unnecessary shedding of blood in the kingdom, following the activities of cult groups, the Olowo of Owo Kingdom and Paramount Ruler of Owo Land, His Imperial Majesty Alayeluwa, Oba (Dr) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III has taken a decisive step in curbing the ugly development.
Oba Ogunoye, in company of his Chiefs, Ughare and Ugbama Iloro aboriginals, various traditional and spiritual groups that are rooted in deities and essence of the kingdom, as well as interested members of the public, gathered at the famous ‘Ogwata’ Square, opposite the Post Office, in the heart of the town to invoke ancestral curses against cultism and its perpetrators, following the recent killings and mayhem in the kingdom.
In order to restore peace and nip in the bud the acts of unscrupulous elements in the kingdom, His Majesty, and his Council took the drastic action, as it would enable the people go about their businesses without any hindrance and disorderliness.
