RAMADAN: ONDO SSG GREETS MUSLIMS
As the holy month of Ramadan commences, Secretary to Ondo State Government, Princess Catherine Oladunni Odu, has called on Muslims in the State to use the period to re-establish and redeem their relationship with God and loved ones.
In a message to Muslims, Odu described Ramadan as one of the holiest periods for Muslims and its observance is widely felt across the nation.
In her words ” the beginning of this holy fast is highly significant to Nigeria at this time. We are in a transitional moment that calls for introspection into matters that affect us as a whole.”
According to a statement signed by her Media Officer, Debbie Funmilayo, the SSG called on Muslims to remember Nigerians in their prayers and pray for peace and harmony in the nation.
Similarly, the Secretary encouraged Muslims to use the period to pray for the President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as he looks forward to carrying out obligations before him.
Princess Odu said, “today, I urge everyone to keep faith with our Muslim brothers and sisters as they render consolidated spiritual discipline in prayers and fasting towards a common goal for peace and progress.”
“I wish you good health and a sound mind as you observe this period. Ramadan Mubarak and may Allah hear our prayers”.
