FORMER DEFENCE MINISTER, TOKUNBO KAYODE (SAN) MOURNS AKEREDOLU
A former Minister of Defence, Prince Tokunbo Kayode, Senior Advocate of Nigeria has expressed condolence to the immediate family of late Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu and the people of Ondo State over the demise of the late Governor.
According to a statement, Prince Kayode described the former President of the Nigerian Bar Association as a constructive critic whose passion for equity, justice and fairness was well noticed.
“Our late Governor was a determined legal icon with total commitment to societal development as well as security of lives and property of his citizens”.
“We all knew his position when the peace of the southwestern part of this country was being threatened and his involvement and leadership les to the establishment of Southwest Security Network otherwise known as Amotekun Corps and as at today, the corps has played significant roles in ensuring security of lives and property in the region”.
Prince Kayode who also served as Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice prayed that God should grant Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu eternal rest.
“I condole with the immediate family and the entire people of Ondo State and pray they God should grant them all the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. What Our former President stood for as a legal luminary would continue to be a reference point in our dear state and Nigeria in general”, Kayode added.
