DR. WILSON-IKUBESE COMMENDS PASTOR ADEBOYE OVER APOLOGIES ON TITHE-PAYMENT TEACHING
“…it takes humility, honesty, bravery and astute leadership to tender an apology on earlier submission which he said is not the position of the Bible”
The Founder of ‘Yeswefit’ Revolutionary Movement and Chief Medical Director of the Sckye Hospitals Limited, Akure, Dr Thomas Wilson- Ikubese has applauded the apology tendered by the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye over his past teaching on tithe.
It could be recalled that a video of the highly respected Man of God went viral where he said those who don’t pay their tithes will go to hell.
Daddy GO as rightly called by Redeemers apologized at a Youth Conference programme of his church.
Dr Wilson-Ikubese said it takes humility, honesty, bravery and astute leadership for Pastor Adeboye to tender an apology on his earlier submission which he said is not the position of the Bible.
Dr Ikubese’s Post on his Facebook Account Reads:
APOLOGIES MY FOOT!
Yesterday at a Youth Conference, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye publicly apologized for teaching years ago, that those who don’t pay their tithes will go to hell!
He said his earlier submission is not the position of the Bible!
Now, does this make sense?
Why canvas a teaching and turn around several years later to disprove same?
What does this say about him?
Truth is, it takes humility, honesty, bravery and astute leadership for one to tender an apology whenever one finds out that one is wrong at some points.
So, instead of taking Baba to the canvas, he deserves our applause for redressing the matter himself, not minding the backlash that will sure be generated thereby.
To tender an apology, whenever one finds out that one is wrong, is a sign of uncommon strength and not weakness, for which one should be crucified!
