
DELE PHILIPS URGES CHRISTIAN FAITHFUL TO USE LENTEN SEASON TO PRAY FOR NIGERIA’S UNITY
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, Dele Philips has rejoiced with Christians around the world as they observed Ash Wednesday which marks the beginning of Lenten season.
Dele Philips particularly identified with christian faithful in Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 2 comprising Ekiti West, Ijero and Efon local government areas on the commencement of the annual ritual.
In a statement signed by his Media Aide, Iyiola Adetola and made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti, the party leader urged christians to use the period to renew their relationship with God.
Dele Philips also encouraged Christians to use the Lenten season as an opportunity to pray for the peace and unity of Nigeria as well as peaceful co-existence.
The APC Chieftain enjoined christian faithful to seek the face of God and attract spiritual growth.
Dele Philips also called for show of love and help to the needy as well as the less privileged in the society.
