ONDO COMMISSIONER-DESIGNATE, ENGR JOHNSON ALABI EXPRESSES READINESS TO COMPLEMENT AIYEDATIWA’S DEVELOPMENTAL EFFORTS
The
Commissioner-Designate and current Special Adviser to Governor Aiyedatiwa on Power, Engr. (Dr.) Johnson Alabi has expressed the readiness to keep playing his part in the realisation of the “Our EASE” Agenda of the Governor.
Engr. Alabi who spoke with newsmen shortly after his screening as Commissioner- Designate in the state House of Assembly said he has always justified the confidence reposed in him.
Engr. Alabi stated that the process was a milestone in the Aiyedatiwa administration affirming that the process was fair and thorough, yet commendable.
He expressed gratitude for the opportunity and readiness to render more impactful projects beneficial to the people in line with the EASE Agenda of the Governor.
Alabi appreciated the Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa for the confidence reposed in him and his colleagues, while he attested that the appointment is not just a constitutional mandate but the Governor’s commitment to drive transformational leadership and sustainable development across all strata.
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. (Chief) Olamide Oladiji in his remarks, emphasized the importance of the appointments, while he charged the recipients to render their best in the task ahead to bring to fruition the goals of the Governor by promoting an all inclusive governance, noting that acts of complacency will not be condoned.
Under the Aiyedatiwa-led administration, the office currently headed by Engr. Alabi has on record success stories as regards revamping the electricity sector and enabling a more reliable and affordable power for the people through the O’Datiwa Mass Metering Initiative which has provided meters to over Seven (7) thousand residents.
Other remarkable efforts are evident in the rehabilitation of electricity infrastructures across the state and taking full charge of the electricity market to generate, transmit and distribute in line with the Ondo State Electric Power Law 2020.

Benson Alabi, Mr. Omoniyi Emmanuel, Mr. Gbenga Lawani, Mr. Okunola Taiwo, Mr. Felix Okunola, General Manager, Ondo State Electricity Board (OSEB) Engr. Akindolani Ogunmakinwa, other members of Ondo State Power Company Limited.(OSPCL) and Ondo State Electricity Regulatory Bereau (OSERB) were also on ground to honour the Commissioner-Designate.
