ISOKAN COMMUNITY COMMENDS ADEGBONMIRE FOR RESTORATION OF POWER SUPPLY
Residents of Odanikin / Ayalodi/ Ajimokun in Isokan Community of Akure South Local Government area of Ondo State have acknowledged the Senator representing the Central Senatorial District of the State, Hon Adeniyi Adegbonmire (SAN) for rescuing the community from darkness created by vandalized transformer.
The landlords and residents at their monthly meeting said it was only the Senator that came to the rescue of the community when the facility was vandalised.
The Chairman of the Community, Mr Temitope Olosu said “when the only transformer panel of the community was vandalized by some unknown men on the 27th of August this year, among all the people contacted for assistance, it was only the Senator that responded to their call”.
He said “when Senator Adegbonmire was contacted and asked for total sum for the repairs with a promise to assist the community”.
The chairman said after several efforts from both the BEDC and some individuals from the state without any response, it was then the community decided to go back to him for his earlier promise.
Mr Olosu said the support Hon.
Adegbonmire gave to the community has in no small measure assisted them to replace the vandalized panel.
He said this singular honour of the senator will ever remain in the history of the community.
The chairman assured that the people will for ever be grateful to him as light has finally been restored back to the community after several months.
He also urged the senator not to relent in his efforts at making life more comfortable for the people mostly within his catchment areas.
The Chairman also requested for provision of solar- powered streetlights around the community so as to further enhance their living and curb the activities of the people of the underworld.
In his remarks, the immediate past Chairman of the community, Mr Clement Fapohunda affirmed that senator Adegbonmire is the first politician in the history of the community that has ever come to their aid.
Mr Fapohunda assured the senator that the community will reciprocate the gesture wherever the need arises.
