ONDO @ 50: OLABIMTAN FELICITATES STATE, COMMENDS SACRIFICES OF FOREBEARS
The Ondo State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) and current Chairman of the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan, has celebrated the government and the good people of Ondo State as the state marks its Golden Jubilee anniversary.
In a statement he personally signed, Olabimtan described the milestone as a “gracious moment of thanksgiving, reminiscence, and renewed commitment to the overall well-being of the Sunshine State.”
Olabimtan paid glowing tributes to the founding fathers and past governors of the state. While commending the sacrifices and efforts of the state’s forebears, the SUBEB Chairman emphasized that the 50-year journey is a testament to the resilience and dedication of past leaders.
The statement reads in parts. “As we celebrate Ondo State’s Golden Jubilee anniversary, first of all, I thank the Almighty God for His grace upon the State, its governments, and people. Ondo State’s 50th anniversary is a success story not just because of its years of existence, but for the natural resources and human-capital endowments God bestowed on us as a people. Today, the state stands tall as one of the thriving economies among sub-national entities in Nigeria.”
“I appreciate the sacrifices and efforts of all our forefathers and every leader that has, at one time, governed the State for their altruistic dedication and commitment as evinced by the undeniable continued growth of Ondo State. There is no government that can solve all the problems of a people, but each and every one of our past leaders made meaningful impacts and etched their names in gold through enduring legacies that stand the test of time
“I congratulate the incumbent, the lucky guy, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, who is currently leading us aright, building on the successful legacies of his predecessors and making the best of the opportunity God has bestowed on him. Government is indeed a continuum!
“This is evinced by the steady strides of Governor Aiyedatiwa, recording immeasurable milestones in education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, and human capital development. Things are getting better with Aiyedatiwa laying a solid foundation to ensure that every new day is better than the previous for Ondo State and its people.”
“I also congratulate the entire people of Ondo State, at home and in the diaspora. I urge you all to keep supporting your son, brother, and friend, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, who it has pleased God to elevate and use to lead our dear State at this point in time. May God continue to bless Ondo State, its government, and people. Hearty congratulations to us all!” Olabimtan concluded.
