DR OLUBUNMI ADEMOSU-WILLIAMS PAYS TRIBUTES TO ARAKUNRIN OLUWAROTIMI AKEREDOLU ON 70TH POST-HUMOUS BIRTHDAY
A Tribute to My Super Boss at 70
Today, I remember with a heart full of gratitude and deep emotion my late Boss, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, CON, on what would have been his 70th birthday.
You were far more than a Boss to me. You were a father, a mentor, a dependable leader, and a man whose word carried strength and assurance. You believed in people, built teams, pursued goals with uncommon courage, and led with vision, conviction, and an unwavering commitment to service.
You were a true statesman, a fearless goal-getter, and a leader who understood that leadership was not about self, but about impact, legacy, and the wellbeing of the people. Working with you was one of the greatest privileges of my life. The lessons, opportunities, trust, and confidence you gave me will remain forever engraved in my heart.
Despite the many lies, distortions, and unkind stories told about my relationship with you, one truth can never be erased: you were, and will forever remain, my Super Boss. I knew the fatherly heart behind the office, the mentor behind the title, and the dependable leader whose support gave many of us the courage to serve and excel.
Boss, I miss you deeply. I miss your strength, your candour, your wisdom, your humour, and your reassuring presence. Even the present political situation in our country reminds us daily of the painful exit of a rare gem, a courageous voice, and a leader who stood firmly for what he believed was right.
Your absence is loud. Your legacy remains alive. Your footprints can never be washed away.
On this posthumous 70th birthday, I celebrate the life you lived, the people you raised, the battles you fought, and the enduring impact you made. May your soul continue to rest in perfect peace, and may history forever be kind to your name.
Happy posthumous 70th birthday, my Father, Mentor, dependable and forever SUPER BOSS.
