Rev Dr Isaac Adigun is our pastor and the current District Superintendent of all the Apostolic Faith Churches in West and Central Africa (WECA) – an epitome of humility and godliness. Here is a toast to many more years in good health and prosperity in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen.
Father, Mentor, Big Brother, Friend,
God’s own vessel carved from Bẹrẹ’s red earth—
Today your story rises like incense,
A testimony woven by the Master’s Hands.
From humble rooms where school fees were prayers,
God lifted little Isaac like a lamp set upon a hill.
Doors that stayed shut for others opened at His whisper,
And the boy from Ibadan became a man of destiny.
He walked through Lagos with diligence,
Through Manchester with brilliance,
Through Cyprus and Norway with purpose—
A scholar whose footsteps echoed in great halls,
A mind whose pen danced across continents,
A voice that thundered in lecture theatres,
Announcing that excellence is worship too.
But Heaven was still composing.
A tapestry still unfinished.
So God bent the path again—
Through trials, through anemia, through twists and turns,
Through surrender, through wrestling,
Until Isaac bowed to the pulpit
And rose as God’s general.
Now he preaches like Paul,
Builds like Nehemiah,
Leads like a shepherd who has seen the Throne.
Millions march behind his voice,
Millions find Christ through his steps,
Millions find Heaven through his obedience.
And beside him stands Stella—
A partner forged in grace,
A pillar whose presence opens yet more doors,
A quiet strength that multiplies victories.
At seventy, Sir, your life is a psalm:
A melody of mercy,
A chorus of miracles,
A testament that when God writes a story,
Even the margins shine.
So today we celebrate you—
The icon, the teacher, the leader,
The man God raised from Bẹrẹ
To bless nations.
May more doors open,
May more victories rise,
May the Great Door wait many, many years
Until your work is complete
And your crown is ready for surely it will.
Your journey is a sermon,
Your life is a blessing,
Your legacy is eternal.
