EKITI SUMMIT NEWS MEDIA GROUP NAMES OYEBANJI’S WIFE, OLAYEMI PERSON-OF-THE-YEAR 2025
Ekiti Summit News Media Group has named Her Excellency, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, the First Lady of Ekiti State, as its Person of the Year 2025, in recognition of her outstanding humanitarian service, exemplary leadership qualities, and compassionate impact on lives across the state.
In its official citation, the media group described the Ekiti First Lady as “a lifeline of compassion, a model of grace and leadership who has redefined the office of the First Lady in Ekiti State.”
The organization noted that Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji’s commitment to social welfare, women empowerment, orphan and child care initiatives, and support for vulnerable persons has set a new standard for purposeful leadership and service.
According to the Ekiti Summit Media Editorial Board, “the selection followed careful consideration of her visible contributions to human development, moral leadership, and her consistent efforts at complementing the developmental agenda of the Ekiti State Government through people-centered programmes.”
The award ceremony is scheduled to hold as follows:
Date: Saturday, 9th May, 2026
Venue: Arowolo Gardens, beside TotalEnergies Filling Station, Fajuyi Area, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The event is expected to attract dignitaries from government, media, civil society organizations, traditional institutions, and other stakeholders from within and outside the state.
The award celebrates excellence, compassion, and transformative leadership — qualities which Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji has continually exemplified in her role as First Lady of Ekiti State.
It would be recalled that Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, OFR, CON, Founder and Chancellor of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), emerged as the Ekiti Summit Person of the Year 2024 and was also honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award 2025 for his exceptional leadership acumen and philanthropic contributions to social development.
