FAMILY AND FRIENDS BID LATE DEACONESS AJAYI OLAJUMOKE RASHEED FAREWELL IN AKURE

It was a reflection on contributions to human and societal development as family and friends gathered to bid late Deaconess Ajayi Olajumoke Rasheed farewell in Akure the Ondo State Capital.
The funeral service held at Christ Apostolic Church, Revival Centre, Ijoka DCC Headquarters had in attendance family members and well wishers from within and outside the state.
The event also had in attendance Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa represented by immediate past Secretary to the State Government and a Senatorial Hopeful, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti.
In his sermon, Pastor Idowu Adefila, Ayomide District Superintendent described late Deaconess Ajayi Olajumoke Rasheed as a committed Christian whose impact has been felt in the church of God.
Pastor Adefila stated that the deceased supported both immediate family members as well as the community in general.
He appreciated the children for building on the platform created by their mother to impart positively on the lives of the people.
In his words, “Mama was accommodating, hardworking, generous, committed, kind-hearted and God-fearing”.
While noting that the vacuum left behind has become a task to fill by all members, the cleric prayed for the wherewithal that the children would continue from where mama stopped.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa represented by immediate past Secretary to the State Government, Dr Taiwo Fasoranti said the deceased was a yardstick to measure diligence and commitment to service to humanity.
The Governor urged the children to sustain the level of interventions their mother put in place.
