HOW AKURE ELDERS GATHERED TO ENDORSE DR TAIWO FASORANTI’S SENATORIAL BID

It was a show of solidarity and support at Ward 4 in Akure South local government area as Akure Elders came together to endorse the aspiration of Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti to become Senator representing Ondo Central Senatorial District.
Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, a son of the revered Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti is the immediate past Secretary to Ondo State Government.
The gathering was basically for the Senatorial hopeful to carry along his leaders, brothers and sisters as he prepares to make a difference in representing them at the red chamber.
In his speech, Dr. Kole Akererele said the gathering has further confirmed the determination of the Akure elders to ensure that Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti emerge victorious.
While appreciating the turnout of the Akure Elders and stakeholders, Dr. Akererele urged them to keep mobilising the electorate ahead of the elections.
Also speaking, former Deputy Governor, Otunba Omolade Oluwateru said the gathering serves as a springboard for the elders’ campaign activities for the accomplished medical practitioner of international repute.
Also, a former Special Assistant to Former Governor Olusegun Mimiko, Chief(Mrs) Funmilola Oluwadare said women in the state capital as well as the Senatorial District in general are also coming together under one umbrella to ensure that Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti emerges the next Senator representing the district.
In his address, the Senatorial hopeful, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti said his visit to the Akure elders was to carry them along in his bid to represent them at the red chamber.
Fasoranti said as a passionate son of Akure with keen interest in the development of both human and societal development, he would never take the leaders as well as the younger generation for granted.
He urged them to keep mobilising their people, assuring that a new dawn is about to be witnessed in the district.
Fasoranti emphasized that structures and processes are being put in place to attract highly placed individuals to get involved in the process of developing the land and the people.
