INJECT YOUR WEALTH OF EXPERIENCE INTO ONDO’S DEVELOPMENT – HOS ODUSANYA URGES RETIRED PERM SECs
The Ondo State Head of Service, Chief Segun Odusanya has called on retired top bureaucrats in the state to continue to support the progress of the state by making themselves available whenever the needs arise.
Odusanya made the call while playing host to the Executive Committee members of the Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries Association, Ondo State chapter, who paid him a congratulatory visit in his office in Akure on his recent appointment as the 17th Head of Service of the state.
According to the Head of Service, the retired top bureaucrats remained a cherished repository of knowledge and experience that the state could not dispense with in its quest for desired growth and development.
He assured them that government would continue to prioritise their welfare and would not hesitate to call on them whenever there is need to tap from their wealth of experience, calling on them to always show interest in governance of the state they had laboured tirelessly for.
While appreciating the Governor, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his worker-friendly posture towards the workforce, both serving and retired, Odusanya reiterated the high regard of the government for the association of Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries.
Earlier in her opening remarks, the Chairman of the association in the state, Mrs Moji Ajayi lauded the governor for the choice of Chief Odusanya, who she described as a thorough breed officer, as the Head of Service at this crucial time that the Public Service needed some reforms.
She expressed the readiness of members to partner the office of the Head of Service and the state government whenever they are called upon and called on government to always accord them due place in the scheme of things in the state.
