LIONS CLUB DISTRICT 404B5 GOVERNOR PHINA ORIGHO CHARGES MEMBERS ON COMMITMENT, HUMANITARIAN SERVICE
…As Lion Abiodun Adumati Installed Charter President of Ekiti Pride Lions Club
The Pioneer Governor of Lions Club District 404B5 Nigeria, Lion Phina Origho gas charged members and officers to continue to be diligent and committed towards the objectives of the club.
Lion Phina Origho was speaking while inducting Lion (Dr) Abiodun Adumati as Charter President of Ekiti Pride Lions Club in Ado-Ekiti.
The event also witnessed installation of Charter Officers and induction of new members as well as 5million naira fundraising for community projects.
The District Governor charged the Charter President, Club Officers as well as members to make available their time, treasure and talent towards achieving the set objectives of the club.
In her words, “as a Pioneer District, we have a unique responsibility to set a standard of excellence for generations to come”.
” I therefore encourage you to focus on growing your club’s membership by inviting quality individuals who share our passion for service”.
“Be innovative in your approach, collaborative in your leadership and intentional in building partnerships that will expand your club’s reach and effectiveness, Lion Phina Origho added.
In his goodwill message, the Convener, Past District Governor Chris Akinremi said the occasion is not just a milestone for the club but a testament to his unwavering dedication with relentless pursuit of growth in Lionism within the Ekiti axis.
The Past District Governor whose efforts have led to the formation of three new clubs in two years encouraged the Charter President, the officers and the new members to join hands to ensure efficient service delivery.
In her acceptance speech, the New Charter President, Lion(Dr) Abiodun Adumati expressed her readiness to make her tenure not only memorable but also impactful in the area of health, education, environment and peaceful co-existence.
She appreciated all those who played significant roles in ensuring the success of the event and promised to sustain the level of cooperation among members and all stakeholders.
The Chairman of the occasion, Prof Ayodele Akinlua congratulated the Charter President, the officers and the members, assuring of his support when the need arises.
Prof. Akinlua urged members to inspire unity, cultivate leadership and spread love and passion.
He didn’t end his speech without donating over $1,000 dollars in contribution to the payment of the club’s international dues.
Other donors towards the fundraising for community projects include Elder Ayo Adumati who contributed one million naira towards the fundraising.
In his speech, the Chairman of the presentation committee, Lion Gbenga Babalola said the successes achieved with the event were a result of collective responsibility.
In an interview, the GMT Coordinator of Ekiti Axis of the Club, Lion(Prince) Sola Aregbesola expressed joy at the commitment of all stakeholders towards achieving the set objectives of the club.
He stated that all hands must be on the deck to align with Lion’s Club global causes by ensuring that the club responds to the needs within their communities.
