A socio-political group in Ondo Central Senatorial District, Progressives Youths Network has drummed support for the aspiration of the Agbaka of Alagbaka , Afolabi Obasuyi to represent the central senatorial district on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The leadership of the group who spoke with naijaparrots reporter, Demola Kunlere in Akure the state capital hinged their decision on the antecedents of the international business mogul.
The Chairman of the group, Dr. Phillips Fatade said the senatorial hopeful has been demonstrating a high degree of commitment and dedication to issues affecting his people with initiatives that have imparted positively on the lives of the people.
Dr. Fatade emphasized that structures and processes are being put in place to ensure that Agbaka Afolabi Obasuyi emerges the candidate of the party, calling on the delegates to pitch their tent with the best aspirant towards achieving a greater district.
Similarly, Secretary of the group, Mr. Muyiwa Adeyemi said the aspirant been justifying the confidence reposed in him as a party chieftain as well as a monarch.
He stressed that opportunities Agbaka Obasuyi has created for his people have continued to be a reference point in the area.
Reacting to this development, the senatorial hopeful, Agbaka Afolabi Obasuyi said the level of support being received from various quarters in the six local government areas has been propelling his campaign organization.
He assured that more party leaders and members are being mobilised for the realisation of the dream which he said is in the overall interest of the district and the state at large.
In his words, “emerging as the Senator representing the people of Akure North, Akure South, Ondo East, Ondo West, Idanre and Ifedore local government areas would add value to our people. To be modest, I am in touch with my friends both locally and internationally and they are part of this vision that will create a new orientation in terms of socio-economic development”.
He added that delegates would be treated as the real shareholders in the party by involving them in the various processes of representation.
