ONDO CENTRAL 2027: WOMEN SUPPORT GROUPS ENDORSE TAIWO FASORANTI’S SENATORIAL ASPIRATION
A Coalition of Women for Political Change has endorsed the ambition of Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, the immediate past Secretary to the Ondo State Government to become the Senator representing the Ondo Central Senatorial District.
They urged him to stay focused and resist distractions, including any orchestrated message intended to undermine his goal of delivering people-oriented and active representation in the National Assembly.
Addressing journalists after its Annual General Meeting in Akure, the President of the Coalition, Mrs. Olateju Akande, expressed enthusiasm regarding the participation of a candidate who values integrity and human dignity in the race for Ondo Central Senatorial District.
She remarked that Ondo State women are pleased to support Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, while emphasizing that the Coalition has closely monitored the political landscape of the State over the years and is glad a refined personality is coming on board at this critical time.
Mrs. Akande expressed optimism that by the intervention of the former Secretary to the Ondo State Government in the current political space the political narrative of the State will significantly improve.
She stated that when he becomes a Senator his performance in office will be the platform for more dignified, integrity driven and trusted personality to join politics and contribute their quota towards the development of Nigeria.
“We are happy Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti has thrown his cap into the political ring of Ondo State. I wish to let you know that Ondo State women support his ambition”.
“We have branches in all the 18 local government areas of the State and interestingly our women, even those from other Senatorial Districts, are tilting the hats towards supporting his candidacy”.
“This is unprecedented, and owing to the huge support from our women we have decided to make it public. What our women want is a positive change”.
“A Senator that would be accessible, impactful and charismatic in nature”.
“The former SSG is politically exposed, experienced and administratively knowledgeable. He knows what our people want”.
“He knows our yearnings and considering his antecedents we are sure he is the right candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) if the upcoming Senatorial election is to be won by the party in Ondo Central*.
“His period as Secretary to the Ondo State Government was impactful, while he left indelible footprints as Chairman, Ondo State Hospitals’ Management Board. You can go and check the records”.
“These are the leaders we want and we will support him to ensure he clicks his party’s ticket and also win at the general election”.
“We strongly appeal to him to pay no attention to political naysayers. They are only jittery that a man loved by his people and a man of integrity is coming on board. This is the time for the change in Ondo Central Senatorial District, and we are sure it is not going to be business as usual”, she said.
The Coalition also called on the leaders of the All Progressives Congress to be fair in the upcoming primary election, expressing optimism that Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti will win the election and would provide good representation for the people.
It also stated that it has activated its branches in Ondo Central Senatorial District to begin working for the immediate past Secretary to the State Government, as its mandate covers ensuring emergence and sustenance of positive political change and development.
