ONDO TO HOLD ONE-DAY WORKSHOP FOR FEMALE PERM SECs, AGENCY HEADS, OTHERS
The Ondo State Government is set to bring together elected and appointed female officials, female permanent secretaries, heads of government agencies and parastatals, as well as leaders of non-governmental organisations and political support groups for a one-day capacity-building workshop and retreat.
The programme, organised by the Ondo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Nibanola Motherland Resort and Golf, along the Ondo-Ore Road, Igabado, Ondo City.
A statement by the commissioner for women Affairs and social development Dr Seun Osamaye says the workshop, is designed to provide a platform for women in leadership and strategic positions to strengthen their capacity, share experiences and foster greater collaboration in advancing the interests of women across the state.
Dr Osamaye says the event is themed “Our Ease: An Appraisal of Unity of Purpose.” will feature cocktails Dinner on Tuesday 8th Sept while Wednesday 9th Sept 2026 there will be mountain hiking and outdoor adventures for participants at the resort.
The commissioner appreciates Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his passion and dedication for women’s development in Ondo state and also eulogised the wife of the governor,Mrs Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa for her motherly roles.
She notes that the initiative was part of the Ministry’s efforts to create stronger partnerships among women leaders and ensure that women remain active participants in the development of the state.
She explains that the gathering would go beyond formal capacity building, providing participants with opportunities for networking, social interaction and recreation.
The workshop which is by confirmed registration and participants is also expected to strengthen relationships among women in government, political organisations, NGOs and other strategic groups, while providing an avenue for participants to examine their collective contributions to the advancement of women and society.
