PRESTON INT’L SCHOOL BAGS BRITISH COUNCIL’S INT’L SCHOOLS AWARD 2026
Preston International School has once again earned the prestigious International Schools Award (ISA) from the British Council.
The award was presented to the management of the Akure-based school led by the Proprietor, Dr. Toyin Ajayi and the Principal, Mr Felix Jegede at a ceremony held at the Wheatbaker Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos
on Thursday 13th August 2026.
Also in attendance to receive the award was the International Schools Award Coordinator, Mr Nathaniel Emoruwa.
The ISA is a distinguished recognition granted to schools that demonstrate exceptional commitment to international education, particularly through meaningful partnerships with schools across the globe.
At the core of the British Council’s mission is the integration of an international dimension into school curricula, equipping learners with the cultural awareness and global competencies needed to thrive as global citizens.
The ISA is a worldwide award available to schools offering the British curriculum in countries such as the United Kingdom, India, Nigeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Cyprus, Pakistan, and beyond.
Preston was among the distinguished schools recognized in Nigeria for achieving this milestone—an achievement that reflects the exceptional quality of education we provide.
Reacting to this development, the Proprietor, Dr. Toyin Ajayi extended profound gratitude to parents who invested significant resources to prepare the students and actively supported the activities leading to the award.
He said “many parents even participated directly in the projects that contributed to this success.”

Dr. Ajayi reflected on the journey which started 20 years ago that has manifested as a vision to victory, assuring that the management is determined to sustain and improve on the achievements being recorded.
