Oba Adeleye described the Ooni as a royal icon whose life represents the harmonious meeting point between the rich heritage of the Yoruba race and the aspirations of a modern and progressive Africa, emphasizing that, under the leadership of Oba Ogunwusi, the traditional institution has continued to command respect both at home and abroad.
“Kabiyesi, your life is a shining testimony that true royalty is defined not merely by ancestry or the splendour of a throne, but by wisdom, compassion, humility, and service to humanity.”
The Olubaka praised the Ooni for his unwavering commitment to peace and unity, describing him as a monarch whose voice has consistently promoted harmony among diverse communities.
According to him, the Ooni has distinguished himself as a bridge-builder who brings people together irrespective of religious, political, ethnic, or social differences, observing that at a time when societies around the world face numerous divisions, the Ooni continues to demonstrate the power of dialogue, mutual respect, and shared values.

“Like the ancient Iroko that remains steadfast amid changing seasons, the Ooni has remained a pillar of stability, preserving the sacred traditions of our forebears while embracing progressive ideas that can improve society.”
The Olubaka further described the Ooni as a golden crown in the collective heritage of the Yoruba people, noting that his reign has rekindled interest in traditional values, cultural identity, and community development.
He said that while many leaders are remembered for their words, the Ooni will be remembered for the positive impact of his actions, particularly his efforts to empower young people, promote cultural preservation, and project the dignity of African civilization to the global community.
According to Oba Adeleye, the revered monarch has become a respected ambassador of Yoruba culture and African pride, using his position to strengthen understanding among nations and encourage greater appreciation of indigenous heritage.
The Olubaka emphasized that the throne of Ife occupies a unique and sacred position in Yoruba history and civilization, adding that Oba Ogunwusi has continued to uphold the dignity and prestige associated with that revered institution, adding that the Ooni’s remarkable combination of wisdom, diplomacy, courage, and vision has earned him admiration across generations and social boundaries.
According to Oba Adeleye, the birthday celebration offers an opportunity to reflect upon the noble virtues that have characterized the Ooni’s life and reign, including integrity, generosity, patriotism, humility, and an unwavering commitment to the well-being of his people.
The First Class Royal Father in the Sunshine State maintained that history remembers great monarchs not only for the length of their reigns but also for their enduring legacies and positive impacts, saying, the Ooni has already written his name in golden letters through his service to humanity and dedication to cultural advancement.
“The story of the Ooni is a story of vision, service, and hope. His achievements continue to inspire confidence in the strength and relevance of our traditional institutions.”
