AIYEDATIWA TO HOST OVER 200 ONDO WOMEN LEADERS AT ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION

The Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa will host a landmark Ondo State Women Round Table Discussion, which will bring together over 200 women leaders from across the state to review achievements of the Ministry of Women Affairs in the last one year, strengthen collaboration, and chart a new course for women-focused development.
The event, themed “The O’datiwa Women Initiative Blueprint and Deliverables: Journey So Far… Charting a Better Pathway for Excellence and Transformative Women Programmes,” is expected to provide a strategic platform for impactful conversations on policies and programmes that promote the welfare and empowerment of women, children, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups.
A statement by the Commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Development , Dr Seun Osamaye says the round table will assemble elected and appointed female public office holders, heads of female support groups, strategic female stakeholders, leaders of women-led non-governmental organisations, female political groups, female religious and socio-political organisations, heads of female persons with disabilities (PWDs) and vulnerable groups, as well as female heads of schools, boards, agencies, and government parastatals.
With the slogan “One Platform, 200 Women, Impactful Conversations,” the gathering is designed to celebrate the progress recorded by the Ministry under the leadership of the Governor, His Excellency Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and The First Lady of Ondo State, her Excellency Mrs Esther Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa ‘s leadership. She further stated that the gathering will create opportunities for participants to exchange ideas and develop practical strategies for enhancing women’s participation in governance and accelerating social development across Ondo State.
A major highlight of the event will be the official unveiling of the O’datiwa Women Initiative News Bulletin which is an annual publication of the Ondo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development. The bulletin is expected to document key milestones, programmes, and achievements of the Ministry in advancing the welfare and empowerment of women and other vulnerable groups in the state as well as provide key directories of Agencies and boards in the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
The event will also feature interactive discussions, networking sessions, cultural dance performances, games, and the presentation of gifts to participants.
