LABOUR HOLDS NATIONAL RETREAT TO ADDRESS WORKERS CHALLENGES WEDNESDAY
…Event slated for Osogbo to be declared open by Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Walson-Jack
The National Retreat and Workshop organised by the Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council will kick start on Wednesday 17th June 2026 in Osogbo, Osun State and to be declared open by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation Mrs Didi Esther Walson Jack
The theme of the ground breaking programme is “CONSOLIDATING SOCIAL DIALOGUE AND INDUSTRIAL PEACE FOR ECONOMIC PROSPERITY. ”
In a statement signed by the National Secretary, Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council Comrade Olowoyo Gbenga revealed that both the Minister of Labour and Employment Comrade Alhaji Mohammed Maigari and His Excellency the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adebayo Adeleke shall be Special Guest of Honour while the Executive Chairman, Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) will equally deliver paper.
The Chief host is the National Chairman Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council Comrade Benjamin Anto Uyanto mni.
The programme , being hosted by Osun State government, will draw participants from all over the country from both the Government and Labour sides in order to reappraise, evaluate and cross fertilise ideas from the knowledge zone of resource persons and all the participants.
The National leadership of JNPSNC explained that the emerging scenarios in the workplace between management and workers urgently require a deeply rooted practical and intellectual engagement between all stakeholders in industrial relations practices both at the National and sub national levels hence, the Retreat, the statement added.
