PA SAM OLADIPO OLORUNTOLA: FAMILY, KINSMEN, OTHERS BID LATE PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGIST FAREWELL
Family, friends and kinsmen have gathered at Igbemo-Ekiti in Ekiti State on Friday to bid the patriarch of the Oloruntola family farewell.
Pa Sam Oladipo Oloruntola who died at age 91 was a pharmacy technologist by profession.
Baba served in various capacities as a public servant and was also Chief Pharmaceutical Technologist at the Central Medical Store in Ado-Ekiti.
As a way of giving the late community leader a befitting home-going, friends of the family, kinsmen came together to honour the man who used his life time to impart lives positively.
The funeral service held at St. John’s Anglican Church in the town where Baba was described as a devout Christian.
Naijaparrots reporter, Demola Kunlere gathered at the service that Baba’s children had provided water facilities for the church which was also reticulated.
After the interment, quests were later treated to sumptuous meals at a reception attended by well-wishers from within and outside Nigeria.
In an interview, some of the children of the deceased, Bamidele Oloruntola, Wole Oloruntola, Tope Oloruntola, Folasade Okunola, Adejoke Oladimeji and Wale Oloruntola described their father as a family man and good father whose love and kindness for his children remain a reference point.
The Alumni Association of Christ’s School, Ado-Ekiti were also represented by members from both African and American zones.
The message of the Chairman of ’88 set of Christ’s School, Ado-Ekiti Alumni Association, Professor Solomon Adekola was delivered by the Spokesperson, Seun Adetola.
Professor Adekola condoled the family but also noted that Baba lived a fulfilled life and also contributed meaningfully to his immediate family and the community in general.
