It was a massive turnout on Monday in Okitipupa in Ondo South Senatorial District as Hon Abayomi Sheba Esq declared his intention to contest the position of house of representatives in the forthcoming 2023 general election.
The event kick-started the process of ensuring that he represents the people of Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency at the national assembly.
All the political wards in the federal constituency were represented at the gathering held at Royal Bay Hotel in Okitipupa.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Sheba said his interest to represent his people was propelled by people of all ages who had benefited from various interventions he had put in place either as a member of the Federal Character Commission or as a political leader.
Sheba emphasized that he had carried out wide consultation whose positive outcomes had shown that victory is certain with the support of the people as ordained by God.
He assured that all required structures that would ensure victory had been out in place with involvement of outstanding political leaders who have shown great interest and support towards success at the polls.
Hon. Sheba therefore called on the people to prepare for what he described as neighbour-to-neighbour marketing of an aspirant whose experience could impact on the generality of the people.
He added that a lot of networking would be achieved in the interest of teeming youths in the area as well as market women, farmers , artisans and even traditional institutions and stressed that the People’s Democratic Party had never disappointed them with emphasis that improvement could only be recorded.
